I have been working as a fitness professional since 1999, and I recently went from health club employee
to studio owner. I decided to participate in BB3 because I feel like my circle of influence is missing other people who share
with me the same beliefs, joys, challenges, and desire to change our industry for the better. I like being part of a team,
and I knew that this group would give me the opportunity to learn from others as well as contribute to the growth of everyone
else. I believe that we as trainers are the most important influence in getting people to feel great and live healthy lives.
I believe we have the power to get our country healthy and fit and that we owe it to ourselves as professionals to do everything
we can to earn respect by providing quality service. I must admit that I kind of feel backwards into the greatest work I could
ever imagine and I feel more grateful than proud that I get to help people feel good every day.
Primary Goals
I will have 120 active clients working out with me in
my studio each month by July 1, 2008. By July 1, I will be generating $24,000 per month through a combination of personal
training, group training, and boot camps.
I finished writing a book last year. Without disclosing
too much yet, I will say that the book is fitness related and there is nothing else like it in print, online, or elsewhere
that I have been able to find. I have put off publishing my work for a couple of reasons, mostly because I worry that it won't
be as successful as I dream about it being. I have decided that 2008 is going to be my year for personal growth and achievement
in every aspect of my life, and I am going to have my book published by the end of the year. I know that I won't get rich
by becoming a published author, but my goal is to get my book in front of thousands of people who will benefit from the information
and use it as a way to further specialize my business. I have no way of knowing what kind of revenue a book may bring my way,
but my goal is to generate enough passive income to start a healthy savings account. I need this money because next year if
I have the funds, I am going to !
attempt to buy the building that my studio is in. I currently have 2000 feet and the
whole building would give me about 7000 feet. I want to turn the facility into a place where people come for a unique and
refreshing experience and where I can host workshops/seminars for people who want to know more about what I have written in
my book.
My studio will generate $24,000 each month.
I will publish my book and share my expertise
with many people, and by doing so I will generate extra money so I can save up for a down payment on my fitness center.
Here's What Shannon Feels She Can Contribute to the Members of the Group
I have been very successful with networking and building my client base through almost
100% referrals. I can help others who may need advice on how to approach potential corporate clients, pta's, and other
potential client gold mines.
Here's What Shannon Would Most Like the Members of the Group to Do To Help Her
I am always open to learning more about fitness and business, but I need the most help
and accountability in the following 3 areas:
1. time management
2. self confidence
3. recruiting/hiring/training
