I was raised on the island of Hawaii since the age of 2. My
mom is from Chile and my dad is from New Jersey which makes me spanish, irish, polish. My mom raised my sister and myelf on
her own from age 7. I have a strong spanish influence. I have traveled to Chile many times and some of my moms family has
moved to Hawaii to be close to us. Since the age of 7 I have had more responsibilities then most children. My mom worked 3
jobs, so I had to raise my younger sister, I am very very proud of the person she is today.
She is a solid human being. Fast forward to college.... one of my biggest accomplishments. I worked
one full time waitressing job at a fine dining restaurant and one part time late night cocktail waitressing job in order to
pay for my tuition. I managed to pull off decent grades. I tried to take as many credits per semester as possible while keeping
my grades up and not missing any work because rent was due!! During this time i was diagnosed with hypothyroid. I moved home from O'ahu after college with my amazing boyfriend. I was teaching spin classes
and looking for a job in my feild. That is when my thyroid got so bad I gained A LOT of weight. felt depressed, hungry, fat,
unmotivated, super low libido and just BLAH!! the only reason i exercised was because i had to because i was teaching. I would
feel so good after classes and I started sharing what was going on with me with class participants and was amazed at how so
many people struggle with the same or similar issues. When they saw me show up and work through it, they got that much more
motivated. This is when I got hooked!!! So i continued on my journey of certifications and education. I am really proud of
how far I have gotten in 3 years. I am blessed to have had some of the most amazing mentors. the changes I have seen take
place in my community have been astonishing. Waimea was a town of many large people.. Well all that has slowly been changing
and I like to think that my classes and education has helped my friends and family all get healthier. Up to this point
I have been working mostly with high end part time or temp Hawai'i residents. This means I am super busy at certain times
of the year and DEAD at other times. My goal is to find more balance in my work and my overall life. I dont want to have go
from working 7 days a week with no time for myself, coming home to a dirty home and an unhappy boyfriend to stressing about
income and teaching a gazzillion classes to make up for the money I am not making from my trainings. I have come a long way
from where i was at. Still have a lot of work to do...
GOALS
REVISITED: You will get all the support you need.
GOAL FOR WORK: By September I would like to be working only 5 days a week,
Mon-Fri. I want to train 5 clients a day. Teach four classes a week. I would like to have time for my own work outs.
I will be charging what I know I am worth. I would like my monthly revenue to increase by $2,000 month. I will have a system
so that i am still generating income when I am sick or on vacation.
OVERLAP GOAL: My goal is to have enough clients Monday-Friday year round that i am able to take weekends off. If I
can generate and even amout of monthly income year round i wont have to sacrifice my personal time dring the busy season.
I want to be able to say "no" when a client asked to train on a Saturday or Sunday because i will be busy enough
from mon-friday. I feel like I miss out on a lot because I work straight through the week. I have recently been strict with
myself and I am taking Sundays off. it feels good...but its still a struggle. I feel like I need the entire weekend though.
I need more ME time, time so i can participate in canoe races, marathons, triathlons, surf camping trips, yoga classes and
other fun activities that i enjoy. I also miss out on a lot of social events with my friends and family. I feel like a deprived
old boring lady. I feel like I need more balance in my work and social life (which recently has been dead) I want to sleep
in on a weekend day if I want. I want to have relaxing weekends
and enjoy life more. I am 30 years old, live in the most amazing place on earth, surrounded by best friends and close family
and if you put a video camera on me you would see that i might as well be living in the middle of the North American continent
by myself because I am missing out on where I am and who is here. Sick of it!!!
WORK GOAL SHORT: By September
I will be generating $2000 more a month, year round.
OVERLAP
GOAL SHORT: This money will be generated with me working Monday-Fridays and having weekends off to enjoy a more balanced life.

WHAT CAN YOU CONTRIBUTE: I feel I can help others in the group with creative ideas of how to get fitness out to a town
that formerly had no interest in it. I feel I have pretty good entrepreneural skills and that i am brave enough to try some
of my ideas even if they dont work out. When they dont work I have the drive to figure out why and learn from it and try again.
I am always hungry to learn more!
HOW CAN OTHER MEMBERS
HELP YOU: The group can help me by sharing more experiences from there past or present that worked and didnt work. I would
like to hear more about how gruop members are going about putting on there forums. I think we all can help eachother more
by commenting on eachothers posts and giving more feedback.

CAREER
EVOLUTION: One year ago I was working 7 days a week and making less oney then I am now. I have gained a lot more knowledge
as a trainer to help with my clients as well as with my business. I dont depend on the gyms I work for to feed me clients.
I have gained the confidence to talk to people and get them on my own. I train a lot more clients in there homes and outdoors
and have NO problem with charging what i know I am worth. A year ago I hated answering that question, "how much do you
charge" and it would be very easy for me to give into someone trying to get me to lower my price.
Which is why I probably liked training in the gyms so much, they were the
ones charging and handling the money part of the transaction. As soon as I gained that confidence I found myself landing a
lot more of my own clients.
I also talk to more people
about my profession, even if they know what I do, I still offer the information. However, that does not mean I volunteer
fitness advise anywhere, anytime.... Funny how that works. Instead I offer my card.
I feel more confident with my skills as a trainer as well as my own boss. I am on my way to building
a very sucessful Personal Training business. I feel more focused, although more overwhelmed from all these ideas and types
of trainings and classes I want to conduct. Its good. Keeps me excited and hungry for more knowledge. I feel a lot more clear
on where I want to be. I used to just make what Imade and now I am working on putting a finacial goal into real numbers and
taking more control of that amount. Striving for it. Enjoying every minute of it!! (well, almst every minute. hahahaha!)
