Given my challenge in writing about myself, I will say those that know me might describe me as kind, easy going, funny, physically fit, determined.  Some of my strengths would include my teaching skills the way I generally am with people while some weaknesses would be my own self doubt.

I have experienced many jobs and careers, fitness has remained my passion. If I could have done anything else, it might have been acting or professional athlete.  I grew up in a family of divorce, alcoholism and very low income.  That, added to being very small when I was young and not having a father figure around contributed to a very low self esteem.  My passion for fitness made sense as I felt that my physical appearance was the one thing I could control and make myself more liked. I am proud of the positive choices I made in living my life given the negative surroundings and challenges I had growing up.  I'm proud of getting my Masters Degree as someone who was average or below in high school.   I'm proud to have been a college athlete.  I am most proud to have opened my own business.  All are things I once never thought I could do. My career has been a rollercoaster mix of times of drive and vision with times of uncertainty.  Right now I am at a point of needing to make some major decisions in determining the direction of my life and career.

GOALS REVISITED: I still struggle with this question, I'm frustrated, and it's keeping me from getting this sent in.

I offer an understanding and empathy for personal struggle to change your body.

ninety days:

1. Make a trip to Arizona in starting the process of a possible eventual move.

2.  Made steps toward becoming a presenter/master trainer/educator with a company like fitness anywhere and/or for national conferences.

3. Live by my own calendar.

4. Continue building the programs in my studio including boot camps and workshops.

5. Have a clear vision of the next step in my career

6. Began getting out of debt having paid off one of a few credit cards.

7.  Begin to learn the steps needed to produce a DVD.

GOAL FOR WORK: I still need a clear vision of exactly what I want... that said...

In the next 4 months I will have aligned strategies to prepare me for a move.  I will have visited Arizona and met with other friends and professionals.  I will have a strategy in place for the best transition for my studio.

OVERLAP GOAL: I will like to free myself of business and personal debt.  In the next 6 months I will have paid off one of four personal credit cards.

In two years I would like to have all of those and some business debt paid off.

WORK GOAL SHORT: I will start the process of moving to Arizona.

OVERLAP GOAL SHORT: I will be debt free in 3 years, not including student loans.

HOW CAN OTHER MEMBERS HELP YOU: The group can help me through sharing ideas, experiences and opinions.  Support in the challenges of change and support in overcoming personal barriers.  Help to master all of what Phil is teaching.  The chance to connect with other fitness professionals and beyond that, making some great new friends.

ONE HOUR IS WORTH: $65

INCOME INCREASING IDEA: My obvious might be boot camps for me, but I already do them.  So I will go off the wall with, Presenting Master Classes?

FOUR THINGS ON A DAY YOU LOVE:

1. Get my own workout in

2. Be in the sun, possibly near water

3.  Be in the company of someone who enjoys my company, that I made laugh or have a good time.

4.  Go to fun restaurant or social venue where the atmosphere is energetic but relaxing.

CAREER EVOLUTION: A year or so ago I had a drive, and a focus having recently accomplished my dream of opening a studio and wanting it to be the best it could be.  I now feel at a bit of a crossroad, almost coasting, due to an uncertain next step.  With many ideas but an unclear direction of where I want my career to be, and feeling tied to and overwhelmed with my business.

I have worked in the fitness industry at many levels, starting as a group instructor, then personal trainer, working as at fitness director and group exercise director at various health clubs across the country, and to finally owning my own studio.  I am at the point of wanting to make the next advance or step in my career, and put myself in a position of better financial reward.
